In partnership with our customers, we are dedicated to creating steel reinforced concrete solutions that enable our contracting and design customers to be more ambitious and build more quickly, safely, sustainably and profitably.
ArcelorMittal Fibres do much more than manufacture and supply a comprehensive range of premium quality steel fibres. We support you to ensure the success of your project from start to finish.
For many years, steel fibre reinforced concrete has primarily been used in non-structural applications like industrial flooring and shotcrete. This is due to the fact that with traditional fibre dosage rates, steel fibre reinforced concrete shows a semi-ductile, strain softening post-cracking behavior. Due to the development of new, better performing fibres, the scope of applications for steel fibre reinforced concrete has been significantly widened.
Today, steel fibres can be used as the sole reinforcement or combined with traditional reinforcement such as rebar, wire mesh or pre-stressing elements in numerous applications:
There are many varieties of styles, shapes and sizes of steel fibres in the market today. These products also differ by material strength. The following information should help ArcelorMittal customers determine the fibre which is best suited for their application and their budget.
Decarbonized steel fibre reinforcement for construction projects around the world. ArcelorMittal Fibres has developed a range of XCarb® recycled and renewably produced steel fibres for the construction industry.
Our XCarb® recycled and renewably produced steel fibres allow our customers to reduce the global CO2 footprint of their projects and products, contributing to the decarbonization of construction projects and making a positive contribution towards carbon neutrality
XCarb® recycled and renewably produced steel fibres, manufactured with recycled steel and 100% renewable electricity, provide an exceptionally low carbon footprint.
Each tonne of steel fibres produced under the XCarb® recycled and renewably produced label will have a dedicated production certificate showing the kg of CO2/tonne (Scope A1 - A3) of steel used and indicating the recycled steel content.
